It’s the school run. You drop your kids off at the gate and then rush off; can’t risk awkward small talk with the mums.
Then the weekend comes. A friend’s 40th. You haven’t been out in ages, but you feel like you won’t add much value. Also, whatsername’s there and she makes you feel on edge. You text to say your kid has just come down with something. Night in front of the box it is.
You’re at work. You’ve been given a big project and you’re bricking it. “What if I mess it up? What if they find me out to be fraud?” you tell yourself. You pass the project back. Just easier that way. Someone better can do it.
You’re in bed with your husband. He seems distant. You think the worst. “Omg he’s going off me. Is he seeing someone else? I’m not good enough for him anymore” So, you give him the cold shoulder back. He asks:
“What’s wrong with you?”
“Exactly. What IS wrong with me?” you reply.
Cos, to everyone else you have the perfect life. The job. The kids. The husband. The house. The friends.
And heaven forbid you burst peoples’ bubble of what they think of you. But, there’s just this niggling feeling that it’s all not enough. Like there’s something missing. You lose excitement for things. Worry that something dreadful is around the corner.
Not just once though, all the time. You wonder: “Is this normal?” then freak out at the idea you could be depressed. You don’t want to take pills, though. You say: “Is there a cure to make someone happy again?”
LISTEN, YOU DIDN’T LAND ON THIS PAGE BY ACCIDENT
You landed on this page because you decided to take the first step in sorting out this thing that’s going on in your head.
And let me tell you straight, this ‘thing’, is more common in women than you think. In fact, it’s so common, I’ve based my entire career on it. This ‘thing’ is called rumination and it can all stop.
AND I’M THE ONE THAT CAN HELP YOU STOP IT
I’m Wendy Dignan: Award-winning, published Psychologist & trusted confidant to female professionals who need qualified help coping with this feeling of having nothing, even though on paper she has everything. With two practices in London and Cheshire, I’m the preferred choice Psychologist, having worked with and transformed the lives of thousands of women, just like you, over my illustrious 30-year career.
And before you think it…
Through psychology, I can help you overcome this sickening unhappiness in your life; show you life-long techniques to stop it coming back, and, in just a few sessions, get you feeling like the woman everyone thinks you are, and, most importantly, who you KNOW you are.
AND YES, IT IS DIFFERENT AND MORE EFFECTIVE THAN COUNSELLING OR THERAPY, BECAUSE…
Where seeing a Counsellor or Therapist gives you someone to talk to, seeing a Psychologist gives you someone properly qualified to truly understand your feelings, and more importantly what causes them, AS WELL as giving you practical methods on how to overcome what’s troubling you. Things you can go away and do NOW.
What’s more, it’s fast. Book your first consultation now, and, within just one session, notice how wonderfully
An hour’s session with me is £175, and as I get you back to feeling like you, quickly, you’ll probably need 3-4 sessions as a minimum.
I don’t do tea and sympathy like counsellors or therapists. You won’t get “So how do you feel” about that?” every time you open your mouth, and you won’t get long, awkward eye-stare pauses either.
What you will get is a once real sufferer of severe anxiety and depression turned real psychologist and mental health expert who has real methods of combating what’s going on in your head and a real talent in doing so.
30 years of talent, actually. And thousands of once anxiety/stress/depression ridden patients who are now completely free from it.
I purposefully share a building with a Physio and Podiatrist for my patients’ benefit so you never have to feel judged or looked at for going into a ‘head shrinker’s’ office…a feeling that, after only a few sessions with me will be completely gone anyway.
And, do I even need to mention how strictly confidential our sessions are?
I hear about the deepest, darkest, most torturous things daily; nothing you can say will make me flinch or think anything less of you.
You’ve seen the movies. You know the stereotype. Not here. Not with me. You won’t be asked to lie down with a spotlight over your head.
My patients have commented that a session with me is totally different to what they expected a session with a Psychologist would be like.
In fact, a few patients have said it’s just like sitting chatting with a friend in their lounge, but with actual, actionable takeaways and life-lifting revelations.
So, if you’re sick to death of cancelling plans, feeling inferior to others, questioning your looks, your intelligence, and worth, and most of all, sick of feeling fearful at every turn, then be kind to yourself… Be kind and say, I’ve taken the biggest step forward to conquering this. I’ve sat and read all of this and discovered there’s a way out.
The next step is easy in comparison. The next step is to book a consultation with me and start living your life again.
From the age of 18, I was crippled with anxiety. Obsessed with image, conformity, empathy and people, I had a facial disfigurement due to Bells Palsy and was severely depressed.
I feared my life would be a constant struggle. Joyless. Empty. I was fortunate, though. My doctor understood stress and anxiety were triggers of Bells Palsy and suggested I sought help from a Psychologist.
Working with my Psychologist, I learnt how to understand my anxiety, stress and depression; understand it and CONTROL it.
I learnt how to make practical changes, and what’s more, I learn how to…
After years of convincing myself this was what my life was going to be now, I conquered it. Smashed it. Told it to f**k off.
Don’t get me wrong, it tried to come back, oh God did it try, but I learnt how to never ever let it.
And the gratitude I had for that Psychologist was the reason why I studied to become one. And so, 30 years and multiple degrees later, and having helped thousands of people learn to completely rid themselves of these life-destroying ills…
I’m now an award-winning Psychologist, hell-bent on eradicating anxiety, stress and depression from the world, and help women in particular find their happiness again. And that’s exactly what I do, 1-on1, every day in my practice.
