Occasionally we deviate and do something different, but probably not very often. This is great, if you love your life and jump out of bed every morning thinking how happy you are.
Every single person I speak to (at work!) wakes up in the morning and would probably prefer to pull the duvet over their head and go back to sleep. For them, their life feels far from joyful, for varying reasons and at varying levels.
I can predict that everyone responds to this by playing safe, living small, avoiding things, and generally eradicating anything that may be above and beyond essential from their world.
The problem is that this removes every chance you have of moving out of the stuckness, and into happiness.
Whatever may be going on in your life, if you’re not bouncing out of bed in the morning, you need to try pushing your comfort zone. Do something out of the ordinary; try something you’ve never done before, do something that makes you a little uncomfortable, or go big and take on a challenge. I have clients doing everything from going zorbing to whizzing down a zip-wire to going in a restaurant on their own.
